How can I hide files or set it as read only?
When others use your PC or when you leave a little while in front of your PC, your valuable files can be leaked to others.
If so, what is the best way to protect your data?
The “Secure PC” file access control feature makes it easy to handle the above problems.
File access control is handled in the following way.
– About drives, folders, files, extensions to control
– Set the access right to Deny Access or Read only.
** For example **
If you set the Deny Access policy for desktop folder, everyone except you can not see the any files, folders on desktop. It looks like there are no files, folders on desktop, and no one else can create files on desktop.
If you set the Read Only policy on desktop, everyone except you can not modify, create, or delete files on desktop. Only existing files can be read.
You can also hide MS Office document extensions, such as xlsx, docx, and pptx, or set them to Read only. If it is hidden, the corresponding extensions document can not be created.
You can create policies that applies to you as well. That is, you can only view the desktop or specific extension documents if you need them, and hide them otherwise.
This will prevent anyone from knowing the existence of the specific folders or files you specify.
In “Secure PC,” we have already created policies that we expect to use frequently. You just choose whether to use it or not.
